E-Bike Maintenance Tips for the Rainy Season-1
By Sando E-Bike
Riding your electric bike during the rainy season can be refreshing, but it also demands extra care to ensure performance and safety. Rainwater, mud, and humidity can affect the battery, brakes, and other sensitive parts of your e-bike. Here are some essential tips from Sando E-Bike to keep your ride smooth and safe even on wet days.
1. Keep Your E-Bike Dry and Covered
After every ride, wipe your e-bike thoroughly with a dry cloth. Avoid leaving it out in the rain or under direct moisture for long hours. Use a waterproof cover when parking outdoors to prevent water from seeping into the electrical components.
2. Protect the Battery
The battery is the heart of your e-bike. Always ensure that the battery compartment is sealed properly before riding in rain. Do not charge the battery immediately after a wet ride — wait until it’s completely dry. If possible, remove the battery when storing the bike indoors.
3. Clean Regularly
Mud and dirt buildup can lead to rust and reduced performance. Clean your e-bike gently using a damp cloth — avoid spraying water directly with a hose. Pay special attention to the wheel rims, brakes, and motor area.
