Tire traction on the ground
It determines the co-stress on the wheel of the tractor and its wear. The greater the traction of an agricultural machine, the greater its footprint on the soil and hence the greater its mileage at a constant speed.
Soil compaction
The higher the pressure in the tractor's tires, the greater its compaction in the soil. Hence more bulldozing is required to overcome compaction in the soil. This reduces tractor mileage.
Load on tractor
The weight of ballast on the tractor should be balanced with respect to the weight of the tractor. Also, the tractor should carry the balanced weight of the tractor.
At road speed of the tractor
The higher the tractor's on-road speed, the lower the tractor's mileage.
