Clutch

       The clutch is used to connect and disconnect the tractor engine from the drive wheels and transmission gears. The power is transmitted through the clutch system by means of friction between driven driving.

Specific Features of a Good Clutch

    a. A good clutch should have the ability to load without driveling and drawing.

    b. It can transmit maximum power. So it is without slipping while having a higher capacity.

    c. The high resistance of the heat effect should be according to the correct position surface.

A Clutch is divided into three main types:

 Fluid coupling,

 Friction clutch, and

 Dog clutch.

      Fluid clutch nowadays is used in most of tractors. Whereas, Friction Clutch is suitable for four-wheel tractors and Dog Clutch is suitable for power tillers.
