Electric Scooters can be broadly into main parts which are the types of motors generated by using a hub motor and chain motor system. These types of motors were having different ways to use and installation for the motor in electric scooters.  The Hub motor is housed inside the hub of either the front or rear wheel. The figure below shows one of the types of hub motors that sell in the market. The Hub motor is also commonly used by electric bikes. The clear difference between an electric scooter and an electric bike is the electric bike has a pedal to ride the bike meanwhile electric scooters only use a throttle to control the speed of the motor.
